Our Program

Music is an art form based on creating, performing and responding, where one's enjoyment increases exponentially with their understanding.

Since 2021, B.P.M. Music and Enrichment, LLC has continued to offer unique learning opportunities to students of ages 10-and-up, by providing a creative space to introduce and foster the practice of music production and music technology in a fun and exciting way!

B.P.M. continually aims to expand our students' horizons, in respect to musical taste and exposure, while honoring the need for self-expression. This is a project-based program in which students will use a variety of software applications to create, record and arrange music – Ultimately bridging the gap between the future of music, it's properties and technology, RIGHT AT THEIR FINGERTIPS!!

Course Overview

Thanks to today's technology, music production is more accessible than ever before!

Music production is the process behind every track in our libraries, from writing the song to the final master.

Over our standard 8-week course (modifications available), we cover 5 basic stages of music production: songwriting, arranging, tracking, editing and mixing – with music videos of completed projects also available!

Students will be given weekly creative challenges, learn effective techniques, and receive guidance and feedback. Students will also develop knowledge of the business of music, copyright laws, studio recording, careers in music and basic music theory needed in the performance and creation of electronic music to ensure their success!

Deanna Hawkins

A student recording vocals in classroom
As a Washingtonian, music has been an integral part of Ms. Hawkins' life since the age of 9. Currently, she is a Grammy nominated music producer, an educator, a professional musician, a musical director and an entrepreneur.
As an alumni of Duke Ellington School Of the Arts and Howard University (B.A., Music/ Music Business), she developed an affinity for teaching others, educating communities, providing tools and uplifting our youth.
Having toured the world as a professional musician for many years, she remains dedicated to sharing the gift of her experiences to our youth, as our culture is constantly evolving – with music and technology embedded in it's trends and innovations. Over many years, she has taught things like general music and music production in public school systems, inner- city non-profit organizations, as well as privately.
Ms. Hawkins is a firm believer that music education has many facets that fosters endless amounts of creativity, smiles and confidence!
“All children deserve to experience this! We definitely have a responsibility... and it can start by Bridging Possibilities in Music!”
